is implementing an EU project "Acquisition of digital technology solutions and creation of a tool automating the processes of creating quotations and tenders for IT services."
Project objective
The project aims to implement an advanced IT tool that will automate the process of pricing and quoting IT services, thereby revolutionising the market in this industry.
The tool will enable offers to be tailored to the individual needs of each customer, which will increase the effectiveness of acquiring new customers. Currently, generating reports and statistics is time-consuming and requires a lot of manual work. Automating this process will significantly speed up the preparation of relevant data and reports. The tool will also support project planning and monitoring, enabling effective project management.
The project envisages expanding the company's offering by introducing a new product, which will generate recurring revenue in the form of subscription fees.
Tasks and activities carried out as part of the project
Task No. 1 in the project is a key step in the development of the BizOffer Pro application. Activities within the task:
- The development of the System Architecture Concept includes requirements analysis, goal setting, technology selection, architecture design, component identification, data management, security and scalability assurance, performance, testability, maintainability, and documentation creation.
- The development of mock-ups and application interfaces focuses on analysing user requirements, creating conceptual mock-ups, testing with users, designing interactions, creating interactive mock-ups, ensuring aesthetics, conducting tests and iterations, and project documentation.
- The development of modules responsible for verifying tasks in valuations and solutions generating recommendations for creating more accurate estimates based on machine learning will enable the analysis of data from offers and projects, which will contribute to the creation of more precise estimates and competitive offers.
- The development of a Dockerisation-based Application Scaling Mechanism will enable flexible management of the working environment for various licence holders, ensuring system performance and reliability.
- The development of the front-end layer will provide an intuitive and visually appealing user interface, which will facilitate the use of the application and increase its acceptance.
- The development of WCAG 2.1 solutions will make the application more accessible to people with various types of disabilities, thereby increasing potencjalną grupę użytkowników.
- The development of an application in the field of business logic responsible for the operation of the application will enable comprehensive management of offers, projects, customers, and other key business processes.
- The development of a public API enabling data exchange between the application and licensees' services will enable flexible integration with other systems and services.
- Preparing Application Technical Documentation will ensure understanding and maintenance of the system in the future, containing key information about architecture, configuration, and API.
- Integration of the Application with the Time Monitoring Tool and
- Integrating applications with project management tools will enable effective management of working time, projects and teams.
- The development of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) integration will increase security, particularly in areas where sensitive data is processed.
Task No. 2 - Implementation
- Implementation of payment gateway integration (one-off/subscription) and licence sales mechanism As part of this stage of the project, key mechanisms enabling payment processing and licence sales will be implemented. This will allow revenue to be generated from the BizOffer Pro application and enable customers to access the full functionality of the system on the basis of purchased licences.
- Implementation of a backup mechanism The aim of this measure will be to ensure data reliability and security by implementing a mechanism for regular backups of the application and its data. In the event of a failure or data loss, it will be possible to restore the data, minimising potential losses.
- Implementation of security measures to eliminate OWASP vulnerabilities Securing applications against vulnerabilities according to the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) categories is a priority. Implementing security measures such as input validation, session management, access controls and others will ensure the security of users and data in the application.
- Preparation and implementation of automated integration tests ensuring application stability and predictability To ensure application stability and predictability, automated integration tests will be prepared and implemented. They will enable quick detection and repair of any errors and ensure consistent application performance.
- Cloud service configuration for application support Implementing applications in the cloud will enable scalability, availability and flexibility in resource management. Cloud service configuration will allow for optimal use of resources and adaptation to the changing needs of the project.
- Development and implementation of a website serving as an application user manual The creation and implementation of a website as an application user manual will make it easier for users to familiarise themselves with the functionality and use of ‘BizOffer Pro.’ This is an important element that will contribute to increasing user acceptance and effective use of the application.
Task No. 3 - Training (140 hours)
The task is essential for application support, installation of new instances and maintenance of existing ones" covers the process of training company employees to ensure effective operation, management and maintenance of applications in a production environment. The aim of this task is to prepare employees to independently manage the application, including installing new instances and maintaining existing ones, which will contribute to the smooth operation of the system and minimise the risk of failure.
- Application Training (40 hours): - Employees will be trained in the use of the application's user interface. - Learning how to create quotations, projects, manage customers and other key application functions.
- Installation of New Instances (20 hours): - Training covers the process of installing new application instances on servers. - Familiarisation with application configuration so that new instances operate as required.
- Maintaining Existing Instances (20 hours): - Employees will learn how to monitor existing application instances and resolve any issues. - Training on ensuring high availability and performance of the application.
- Security Management (20 hours): - Training on data and application security issues. - Familiarisation with procedures for securing the system against attacks.
- Backup and Data Recovery (20 hours): - Training in regular data backup and data recovery procedures in case of failure. 6. Update Procedures (20 hours): - Learning about system update procedures, including the implementation of new software versions.
